Guidelines for Dripping Springs Women’s Club Scholarship

Deadlines: Scholarship applications are due by April 16, 2010.
Awards will be announced no later than May 25, 2010.
The amount of the Scholarship is $ $500.

Eligibility Requirements:
• Applicant must be a female high school student living within the boundaries of the Dripping Springs Independent School District. The scholarship award is open to home-schooled students and those attending public and/or private high schools.
• All applicants must complete the application form and submit two letters of recommendation as outlined in the Application Instructions.
• Applicants must show proof of acceptance to an accredited institution of higher education before funds will be disbursed.
• Award will be based on merit, extracurricular activity, community participation, and volunteerism.
• The Dripping Springs Women’s Club Scholarship Committee will review and rank the applications and make recommendations to the Board of Directors of the Dripping Springs Women’s Club.
Judging Criteria
Applications will be judged on:
• Ability to express an idea
• Merit
• Extracurricular activity, community participation, volunteerism.
